Portraits & stories by an artist and how he pursued his dual passions of creating art and exploring Nature wherever it would lead him.
This involved traveling by canoe, hiking, snowmobile and often floatplane to reach the farthest destinations that time would permit.
The 131 portraits and sketches, that are embodied in these books are images of his original artwork. The portraits that he created are mostly from what he remembered. These memories along with numerous photographs and sketches are his primary references for his work.
Traveling throughout the North afforded him with numerous adventures that consisted of a lot of hard work. It wasn’t all easy, but it was always exciting. He had to endure whatever mother nature would throw his way, he believes that is the LURE OF THE WILD.
His purpose for creating these books is to share his experiences through these portraits and stories, so that you also could experience these adventures by viewing these images of his portraits and by reading the stories about each.
