The design eliminates the need for a mixer, allowing for high-quality vocal recordings directly onto tape. Key features include:
Mic Preamp: Provides 10dB to 60dB gain with switchable phantom power and a 75kHz high-pass filter.
Compressor: Reduces dynamic range to control the volume of vocal or instrument sounds.
De-esser: Removes sibilance by compressing the frequency range containing sibilants.
Expander: Adjusts the volume of vocal or instrument sounds to create a more dynamic range.
Equalizer: Offers three stages of dynamic processing with a single class-A VCA and two side-chain VCAs for precise sound shaping.
