Looking to rehome an -year-old Cape Shore Water Dog.
Rover was originally bought as a companion after his owner sadly lost his longtime dog of 10 years. Unfortunately, at an elderly age, the puppys energy level and strength have become too much to safely manage. He is very strong on a leash, extremely playful, and needs more exercise and attention than his owner can physically provide. We are worried he could accidentally cause a fall or injury.
This is not an easy decision and we are looking for the right home, not just any home. He would do best with:
an active person or family
someone with experience with larger/high-energy dogs
space to run and play
time and patience to continue training and exercise
He is a loving dog with lots of personality and potential just needs a home better suited to his energy level.
